saturday morning.....race day!!! yeah!!
matt was up and out early, his race started @ 7am! which meant we had about an hour and a half to make it to the finish line to cheer him on. it wasn't easy, but we did it!!
we found a pretty decent spot! it was a gorgeous day once again....a gorgeous day in a gorgeous city!!
we even got to watch the sausages race while we waited for matt! it was pretty comical!

i think back to our very first 5k....we ran it together, in mendota, just over 3 years ago. it was brutal for both of us! but we both finished! we both stayed with it, but he has way more dedication and discipline than i ever will! i enjoy running, i really do. and i enjoy doing 5k's, 10k's, the soldier field 10 mile, and even my 1st and only half marathon! but i certainly don't see any marathons in my future. matt, on the other hand, he's awesome! last october matt ran his first marathon! and he's currently in training for the chicago marathon again this year! i'm so impressed by him every day!
