to finish off the month of february, we took a trip up to the city to visit the shedd aquarium (for the first time!! i'm telling ya, it's a busy year of firsts for us!!) uncle matt met us there! to be honest, i wasn't sure if the girls would be all that interested, so i figured if we stayed 2 hours, we were doing good! well.......we ended up spending most of the day there! so much fun!

the girls pretending to be penguins! they have a whole play area where kids can wear penguin costumes and climb and slide as penguins do! it was really cute and a lot of fun for the kids!

after the shedd, we got to go check out matt's new place in glen ellyn! the girls had a blast running around his new condo, playing "lion" in the closet, and jumping on the bed! who needs toys?! lol!
my parents had been there all day, cleaning the place, so we all went to dinner at red robin before heading home! the girls and i had never been there, but it was delish!! and of course, full of laughs!

one other thing that came out of this dinner experience.....papa was kind enough to tell the girls how much he loved red robin.....and the commercials......and the song......"reeeeeed robin....yummmmm"
needless to say, the girls sang it repeatedly, which papa loved! grama....not so much! and once she mentioned that it drove her crazy, all 3 did it even more!! typical! hahaha!
