the end of a school year

well, another school year has passed! the first one with both girls enrolled! haylie was in kindergarten, and charlie was in pre-school. they both really enjoy school, probably because they had such awesome teachers!

even though i was out auditing, i was able to sneak away from work for a bit to share their last day with them! my wonderful mother stepped in to help out at charlie's fun day since i couldn't stay all day. charlie had a "beach ball" - a beach themed party! the weather was perfect for the day, so the kids got to wear their swim suits and play with water, sand, water balloons, and do many more fun activities!

charlie with her 3 best girls from pre-k....jaelynn, madalyn and phoebe! they had the best time together!! plus they're all just adorable!! 

while charlie was enjoying her last day of class, haylie still had one more day (but that was an all day fun day, so it wasn't too bad!) but on charlie's last day, kindergarteners and first graders had their awards ceremony!

again, i was able to sneak away from work in the afternoon to come watch it! haylie received the reading award! and, since her birthday fell on a day that they didn't have class, she got to celebrate today! which explains why she's wearing a crown! it's her birthday crown!  

here's the famous mrs. duncan, haylie's amazing kindergarten teacher!! she is super awesome! we couldn't have asked for a better teacher for haylie!! and haylie just adored her!! i sure hope charlie gets to have her when she gets to kindergarten!!

so i guess this means next year i'll have a first grader and a preschooler! where does the time go?!
