this year, for the fireworks, we decided to try a new place.....utica. what a great decision!!! the fireworks were awesome, the atmosphere was very calm and family friendly, and they were held on july 1st.....before the 100 degree temps hit! granted, it was warm that night, but not nearly as bad as the 3rd and 4th! and by chance, we happened to find the dergances!! what a nice surprise!! i didn't take many pics, but i got a couple.....one of which is my new favorite family pic!

the girls were of course exhausted after the fireworks, especially because it was way past their bedtime! i looked back and found this....wow! how uncomfortable!! so of course i had to get a picture! well.....it turned out she was tricking us! little twerp! lol!
charlie actually was sleeping though! poor little bugger!
i'm glad we went, for one because it was an awesome show, but also because on the 4th (when we usually go, to hennepin), it was ridiculously hot and none of us wanted to be outside....even at 9 at night!
