among all of the other fun things we did in may, here are some tidbits of our "normal" everyday life!
for a week at the beginning of the month, there was a rockwall at northview school. haylie's class got a chance to use it everyday, sometimes twice a day! it was so much fun to watch all the kids attempt to climb up the wall! i was able to go watch a few times during the week! and take some pics of course!
after many attempts, haylie finally made it to the top to ring the bell on the last day!! of course, i forgot my camera that day, but i did get to video tape it on my phone! and one of haylie's friend's mom's snapped a few pics for me! i'm so proud of her! you could tell by watching her how much she wanted to ring the bell! and the pride in her eyes when she did was priceless!
just a normal day at the biagioni/pellegrini household! lol!
once again, completely focusing on the game!
i don't really recall what prompted this photo shoot, but for some reason the girls felt the need to pose on nick's truck in their jammies! i don't even question it anymore! as long as no one gets hurt, i don't really get too worked up! and of course if they ask me to take pics, i'll happily oblige! :)
a lot of times the first words out of the girls mouths when i pick them up after work are "can we have a date tonite?" a date to us is meeting up with some of our friends....basically a playdate! usually at least once a week we try to have a "date." tonite's date was with our good friends, the meyers....michele, mikaela & logan! we had some dinner at their house and then walked to the park! what a fun nite!!
here's hayile and mikaela, just chillin on the porch!
haylie recently learned how to do the monkey bars at school! she's so very proud of herself (and we're proud of her!!) she loves to show anyone and everyone that she can go across all by herself! here's mikaela and haylie just "hanging" around!
logan, mikaela, charlie and haylie getting ready to do the train down the slide!
they made it!! and they loved it!! luckily no one even got choked!
haylie and papa after the "get your rear in gear" 5k in ladd! what a fun family event for a great cause!! it's the 3rd year that kathy martin has held the event, but this is the first year me and the girls have done it. usually matt and i are up in chicago running in the soldier field 10 mile (which is a gorgeous run, by the way! 5 miles down lake shore drive and 5 miles back up along the lake! just gorgeous!) but we decided to take a break since it was the recital weekend! and once i found out i was prego, i was doubly relieved that we didn't sign up!
the girls helping papa and uncle matt clean matt's car!
i got these super cute dresses for the girls to do some pics in once i found a cool spot. i found the spot (thanks to michele!), but we haven't made it there yet! hopefully i'll be sharing those with you very soon! but of course the girls had to try the dresses on! and charlie even let me take a few pics for a trial run! gotta love her!
after haylie mastered the monkey bars, her next goal was to do a flip on the rings, just like her friend mikaela! it took a while, but she can finally do it all on her own! go haylie! :)
i don't mean to get sappy, but on friday, may 4th, we had to say goodbye to my beloved dog, tommy, after almost 12 years with him. he was literally the best dog ever!!! he was a german shepard mix (we're thinking with husky, but we don't know for sure). we rescued him from a shelter in carbondale, il, the weekend my brother graduated from southern. he was such a little fur ball! we loved him from the moment we saw him! he was calm and loving! and never mean! altho he did protect his mama! he was my mama's boy!! i brought him to college a few times (even though i couldn't have dogs) and he was awesome! we did "bark in the park" a couple years - a fundraiser/walk for the champaign county humane society! he loved sticking his head out the sunroof in my sunfire! and he loved the girls! and the girls loved him! he stayed with my parents when i moved out a couple years ago, because at the time snickers was there, so tommy had a playmate. my parents were amazing with him! they are huge dog lovers and snickers and tommy were no different! even after snickers went to heaven, my dad took tommy for a ride every saturday, to the bank and around town! he never asked for much, just some love, a couch to lay on, and food and water! and some snacks every once in a while of course! lol! in about mid april, tommy got sick and never got better. it was very hard for all of us, but we knew this was the end. afterall, he was 12 and that's pretty darn good for such a big doggy! i couldn't have asked for a better dog! i have always said, i wish we could clone him so we could always have him around! yeah...he was THAT awesome!!
rip tommy, we love you forever!!!
